Billy Frank Memorial Speech and Debate Award

Students do not apply to this. Billy Frank was a competitor on the JHHS speech and debate team from 2011-2014. He was a fierce competitor, friend and ally. Tragically he passed away in 2015 but his legacy lives on with his family who are still prominent members of the JHHS community and with his teachers and coaches. He has left a lasting legacy in speech and debate in particular. As members of the national speech and debate honor society, students pledge to uphold the highest standards of humility, equity, integrity, respect, leadership, and service in pursuit of excellence. Billy lived that ideal every day and the students receiving the Billy Frank Speech and Debate Scholarship will have held up that pledge during their time on our team. They will have shown true commitment and work ethic and they will have demonstrated dedication and resourcefulness in their quest for competitive excellence.

Billy Frank fue miembro del equipo de oratoria y debate de JHHS de 2011 a 2014. Fue un competidor formidable, un gran amigo y un aliado incansable. Trágicamente, falleció en 2015, pero su legado perdura en su familia, que sigue siendo un miembro destacado de la comunidad de JHHS, así como en sus maestros y entrenadores. Su legado en oratoria y debate, en particular, es invaluable.
