Jackson Hole Jewish Community "Tikkun Olam" Scholarship

Sponsored by the Jackson Hole Jewish Community, this scholarship celebrates the idea of Tikkun Olam – “healing the world” – through direct actions. Preference is given to students who have demonstrated leadership and good works in their community, who have shown a commitment to continued works of community service after graduation, and who have financial need. Open to all persons of any or no religious affiliation.

REQUIREMENTS:
▪ Minimum GPA 3.0
▪ Essay: Submit a brief essay describing how you have lived the principle of Tikkun Olam and exemplified the idea of healing the world. (Please refer to the Wikipedia definition of Tikkun Olam at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tikkun_olam. (Limit: 500 words or fewer)

VALUE: $1,000 one-time scholarship

Patrocinada por la Comunidad Judía de Jackson Hole, esta beca celebra el concepto de Tikkun Olam – “reparar el mundo” – a través de acciones concretas. Se dará preferencia a estudiantes que hayan demostrado liderazgo y buenas obras en su comunidad, que hayan mostrado un compromiso con el servicio comunitario continuo después de graduarse y que tengan necesidades económicas.
