Nelson Engineering Scholarship

Sponsored by local consulting firm Nelson Engineering, this scholarship goes to a student enrolling in a 2 or 4-year accredited college and pursuing an undergraduate in engineering. Selection will be based on financial need, academic potential, and career goals including background and interest in mathematics, sciences and engineering. Special consideration will be given to individuals entering the civil engineering or surveying fields. The individual awarded this scholarship must use it in the academic year immediately following high school graduation.

REQUIREMENTS:
▪ Minimum GPA 3.0
▪ Intended major in engineering
▪ Essay: What are your educational and life goals, and how will this scholarship help you achieve them? Describe how you became interested in engineering, as well as which steps you have taken to increase your knowledge and understanding of engineering and science.(Limit: 500 words or fewer)
